The Worst is Over…

It has been thirteen days since the surgery. Week one was pretty much a miserable mess. This week, I am starting to get around OK on my own. Still, very slowly though. You can't carry things on crutches because you can't use your hands, but I have found that you can put lots of things in your bra in a pinch.

Monday, the nephews were out of school for the holidays. They came over to visit when my mom came to put me in the CPM machine. We got some painting time in and made some holiday paintings. For a blissful few hours, my knee didn't hurt. Mr. Tabby says that the wounded warriors he works with say that distraction is the best pain reliever. I have to agree with them!
