It's Bluebonnet Season!

Today is one of those fabulous spring days in the Hill Country. The bluebonnets are now out in force. This is the time of year when people driving down our country roads slam on the brakes and pull over to gaze in awe at Mother Nature's display.

It is a welcome sight after the crummy spring that we have had - cold yet not enough rain. I do feel a tinge of guilt though as I complain when my blog friends up in Virginia and Maryland can't seem to dig out of the snow yet. But, not enough guilt to keep me from driving with the top down, stopping for pictures and enjoying the wonderful day...

Happy Spring!

I spent the beginning of spring with a day off. It was a beautiful day. A rare day this spring where it is still cold, even here in the Texas Hill Country. At least my pears are blooming.

I put the finishing touches on my new home studio and am now able to do some creating. Finally, I think I am back in business. Now, if I can just find some time...

Life has been so hectic lately. Our new venture has taken a great deal of time so that hasn't left much time for me to do much creating of my own. But, I was able to finish this painting that has been on the easel for the last six months. It is the first thing that I finished at the new studio. And, it sold as soon as I finished it! Woo Hoo!

It will be on display at Roadhouse Arts for a few weeks until it goes to it's forever home.
