On the Easel

The pieces that I am doing for Texas Heat are very thick so they are taking days in the kiln to anneal. In the meantime, I've gotten out some of the canvases that I had started a while back and began working on them. These are not done yet but I am quite pleased with them. These both have about twenty layers on them and I love the depth that shows through.

Zaire

C has been with us this summer. Her summer job was working in a stable taking care of ten horses. This is the prize stallion of the stables. Her reward for doing such a good job was to get to ride him. She did a fantastic job and he clearly loves her!

Finally...

After what seems like years of moving, Tangerine Tabby Studio East is now open for business. I've been working on my pieces for Texas Heat this weekend. Which is extremely appropriate because my little AC unit cannot possibly compete with the kiln. Studio East may be beautiful and full of light, but it is positively a sauna right now. Some day, there will be a bigger AC unit. Even so, I absolutely love it!

I spent another weekend at Wired Designs with Michelle Belto. There was so much that I didn't know! This is what I worked on today.

Now off to the glass studio to work on my "Texas Heat" entries...
