Our vacation was a fantastic success. We managed to do something on everyone's list - ATVs for Mr. Tabby, ballooning for Grandma, rafting and caving for C, and galleries and inspiration for me. The dogs even got to do some hiking in a place that wasn't screaming hot. Not an easy feat to plan a vacation that pleased parents, a grandma, a teenager and two dogs!
Even so, it is wonderful to be home! All that travel sure makes me grateful for the home that we have created. I am even grateful that I had to sleep in a convoluted manner just so all of my kitties could tell me how much they missed me. Yes, grateful for the home filled with love...

Friday was a busy day in Taos. After dropping Mr. Tabby and C off at the Rio Grande Gorge for some white water rafting, Grandma Tabby and I set off to explore Taos.
Our first stop was the New Mexico Furniture Company where we saw some beautiful horse paintings by John Farnsworth. Grandma Tabby coveted a large original painting but bought two prints. Thea was kind enough to give us the scoop on Taos and where we should go. She did not disappoint!
We wandered down Ledoux Street and found the Inger Jirby Gallery where everything was full of color! After lunch, we hit a few more galleries. My favorites were Copper Moon Gallery and Lenny Foster's Photography - such soul in his photos! He even gave my mom a notecard with her favorite image.
We came home to a house with no air conditioning. It's a good thing that some people work on Sundays. Otherwise, we'd be moving back into the trailer!

The new upgraded RV is just about packed for our family vacation. We will be loading up C, the pups and even Grandma Tabby for our trip out west. No artwork from me in the coming weeks. But, look for some fabulous photographs from our journey.
