Tangerine Tabby Studio - A Creative Life in the Texas Hill Country
Yesterday, I finished two days worth of clearing in the back acreage with the brush hog (yes, the one that caused the owie). It had been cleared at one time, but had become overgrown with weeds four feet tall. Now it looks absolutely gorgeous – like a park. There are several stands of live oak trees that are just beautiful. I am so happy with what I have uncovered. It is like finding a twenty dollar bill in last year's coat.
Now, the trick is to keep it that way. It is too rocky to use the lawn mower and way too much to weed eat. With our first big rain, the weeds will grow up again.
